I'm deep in the woods, following the muddy path which is sodden from days of rain. The sun has burst through the canopy of leaves, encircling a copse of trees turning them radiant yellow.

The Lake
The view from the steep path, through the light-speckled trees was of the lake. Small dwellings nestled in the verdant countryside, barely discernible but for the tiny patches of rooftops.
